Our Story
A Houston based folk/country duo of longtime friends.
The Magnolia Brothers was started by Joseph DeLongchamps and Michael Deis, two longtime friends, in the summer of 2022. Their passion project combines soulful vocals, mellow acoustic guitar, and bluesy lead guitar creating a unique and captivating style of music.
In August of 2024, they will be moving to Nashville to enroll in college and pursue their dreams of sharing their music to a wider audience
About Us
Joseph DeLongchamps
Joseph DeLongchamps is a musician who combines soulful, country-folk vocals with mellow acoustic guitar. He has been singing since he was 8 years old, and picked up the acoustic guitar when he was in the 6th grade. Joseph has drawn inspiration from artists such as Marty Robbins, Jim Croce, Tyler Childers, and Neil Young. Joseph comes from a choral background, for which he was a member of the TPSMEA All-State Choir, and also was the recipient of his choir's Fred Waring award for outstanding choral singer. Joseph also participated in musical theatre, and received 2 Tommy Tune award nominations. Joseph recently graduated from Houston Christian High School and will attend Belmont University to study music business.
Michael Deis
Michael Deis is a performer who specializes in blues-rock guitar combined with a clean, traditional vocal style. Michael has been playing guitar for over 10 years and draws inspiration from artists such as John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Brad Paisley. Michael has a background in musical theatre, which he accredits for giving him valuable experience as a singer and performer. For his performances in musical theatre, Michael was a 4x Tommy Tune Award Nominee and was selected as the Jimmy Runner Up at the 2024 Tommy Tune Awards. In addition to being a performer, Michael is also an Eagle Scout. A recent graduate of Stratford High School, he will be attending Belmont University this fall.
